Sandro – the neighbourhood oasis of Kallio & Eira
Sandro used to be a famous kioski, Sandron Kulma. It had been in the same spot since 1994, run by Hicham Mountnassir, and cherished by the people in the neighbourhood. It was early 2013 when Sandro was reborn by Hicham and two more men, Hicham Daoussi and Pasi Virta, who runs the versatile event calendar.
Hicham Daoussi is a chef who brought all his vast knowledge in Moroccan cooking to Sandro’s menu and the concept. Only a few months later Richard McCormick joined forces and combined his unique style of contemporary cooking together with Moroccan heritage. The full Sandro experience was completed.
We use fresh, seasonal ingredients, lots of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Our weekend brunch has been awarded the best in town for several times but there’s more to us than just brunch. We start by serving you a luscious lunch buffet. And your dinner will most probably be accompanied by a live music act or a dj. We want to create a welcoming, warm atmosphere with exotic flavours. Sandro staff consists out of twelve different nationalities, each bringing their special knowledge into the bunch.
