The story behind Paju Villa started from 1929. Back then it was owned by madame Karoline Paju who had a desire to build a house for herself. The Architecture of the house is mix of art nouveau and art deco and she managed to finish the building in year 1931. During the Soviet era, the house was nationalized and made into small apartments. In the spring of 2017 the house was completely renovated and OKO Restoranid group (OKO, NOA, Tuljak ) opened their fifth successful restaurant with a name Paju Villa.

We would recommend to try all of our dishes because we have put in the hours and the menu is thoroughly structured.

Our dishwasher Aime is a true character. What a person she is! Aime is just amazing, she has been with the company almost 7 years and her work is so vital! Thanks to her our kitchen, pans, pots etc are so clean. Besides her work she is a wonderful storyteller and a person to look up to. She lights the place up with positive energy and everybody has a good vibe to make a successful service!

In the second week of opening our restaurant we were visited by a customer who walked into the bar area/room. He stated that this bar room had been his bedroom when he rented a room 1970s, and he has always wondered what was missing from his room. He realized that it was a bar. Therefore he sat down, ordered a drink, enjoyed, smiled, thanked us for making a bar to his old room and then left.

Chef

Heldur Hillak

It's the little details that are vital!

The thing about Heldur is that he's always ready for some action. He is a great leader in the kitchen as well as a true worker. He combines our menu with our Executive Chef Tõnis Siigur and so far their menus have received very positive reviews from our customers. Heldur's kitchen is always clean and he is a person who cares about little details so you can't never guess why particular dish tastes so good. We can say he has some magical hands.

Which two ingredients would you take to a deserted and why?

Maldon salt and Estonian butter, because you can't get wrong with these ingredients.
